Nathaniel Barnes is an associate at Gryphon Law who specializes in international arbitration and commercial litigation. He has a broad practice area, with a particular focus on insurance disputes and enforcement actions.

In addition to his arbitration practice, Nathaniel has significant litigation experience in courts across the US. He has been involved in cases in New York, Virginia, Maryland, California and Washington, DC, and previously served as a law clerk for both federal and state appellate judges in Virginia and Maryland.

Nathaniel earned his Juris Doctor from The George Washington University Law School, where he was on the Editorial Committee of The George Washington International Law Review. He also represented low income clients charged with offenses as an attorney of George Washington’s Rising for Justice Legal Clinic. Prior to law school, Nathaniel received his undergraduate degree (Bachelor of Arts) from Hampton University, where he was a Presidential Scholar.
